ABOUT THE TEACHER: Finis Jhung is a world-renowned ballet master who has been featured on CBS THS MORNING, written The Finis Jhung Ballet Technique: A Guide for Teachers & Students and produced more than 45 instructional videos. ABOUT THE VIDEO: Good dancers move and work their arms as they dance across the floor - they use their arms to facilitate the movements of their feet and legs, which magnifies their movements and enables them to "eat up" the stage. They don't "hold" static positions. Never-ending energy pulsates from their fingers to their toes. Their dancing has intensity and rivets our attention because they are so deeply involved with how they balance their legwork with their arms. Our demonstrator is Antonio Carmena, soloist of the New York City Ballet. Do as he does and you'll look better than ever. EXERCISES: Barre exercises -1. Plié, stretch, relevé; 2.
